You talk about a luxury sedan. This is the cream of the crop as far as I am concerned. The 2010 Lexus LS-600hL is the only hybrid luxury sedan on the market that I know of so far. BMW and Mercedes are both working on them and BMW is coming out with a hybrid version of the X-6 but do not have a hybrid sedan yet. This Lexus is pure class and I think the best and highest quality available. I would love to have one. The 2010 Lexus LS-600hL takes power to the next level with 438 total system horsepower and a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds. Thee LS-600hL uses a 5.0 liter 90 degree V-8 with an aluminum block and heads and direct and port fuel injection. It is a four cam, four valves per cylinder with dual variable valve timing with intelligence and electronic intake valve timing. The electric drive motor is a high output permanent magnet electric drive motor with EV mode. It is a certified super ultra low emissions vehicle. The Lexus LS-600hL has full time all wheel drive with a TORSEN limited slip center differential and standard Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management. It comes with an Electronically Controlled Variable Transmission with snow mode. Everything about the 2010 Lexus LS-600hL exudes luxury and class. The hybrid system work similarly to most of the other hybrids. The V-8 engine and the electric motor primarily provide the power necessary during acceleration. The engine driven generator predominantly produces electricity that is captured and then stored in the hybrid battery. During braking or coasting, energy is generated and the motor-generator recharges the hybrid battery helping to ensure that it never runs out of energy. When it comes to safety the LS-600hL showcases many of the most advanced innovations available. Features like the Advanced Parking Guidance System that uses sonar to help drivers parallel park hands-free and Lane Keys assist with Lane Departure warning which helps keep drivers from accidentally veering out of their lane of travel. You can connect 24?7 with available Lexus Enform Destination Assist which offers a live response center to assist with navigation details. Similarly, Safety Connect can help link you to an agent who can provide emergency assistance at a moments notice. Among its features are Automatic Collision Notification which calls for help if the LS is in a severe rear end collision or if the airbags deploy for any reason.
